Aspect Patterns (Major Configurations)

Aspect patterns are named configurations formed when three or more planets fall into specific geometric relationships. Each pattern carries its own life-signature: a Grand Trine gives effortless flow at the cost of motivation; a T-Square drives achievement through tension and demands release; a Grand Cross spreads tension across four directions, producing the 'spinning plates' life; a Yod creates a fated reorientation point; a Kite channels trine talent through a single outlet; a Mystic Rectangle stabilizes opposition-through-harmony; a Stellium concentrates a life theme into a single sign or house. Reading a pattern as a simple sum of its two-planet aspects loses its meaning — patterns are emergent, not additive.

When one pattern dominates your chart, it tends to dominate your life: the Grand Trine person moves differently through the world than the T-Square person. Knowing your dominant pattern helps you recognize which life-signature you are actually working with.
