Face / Decan

Each sign divided into three 10-degree segments following the Chaldean order of planets, providing the weakest essential dignity.

What is Face / Decan?

Faces (or decans) divide each zodiac sign into three equal 10-degree segments. Planetary rulership follows the Chaldean order: Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Sun, Venus, Mercury, Moon, repeating through all 36 faces starting from Aries. A planet in its own face has the minimum essential dignity—traditionally described as a guest receiving bare courtesy. While the weakest dignity, it still prevents a planet from being fully peregrine. Face imagery also appears in tarot's minor arcana associations.

How TriAstra Uses Face / Decan

TriAstra includes face dignity as the final tier in essential dignity assessment, distinguishing between peregrine planets (no dignity) and those with at least minimal face dignity.

What Face / Decan Means for You

A planet in its own face has minimal but real support—like having just enough credentials to be taken seriously. It prevents the aimlessness of a fully peregrine planet.
