Ga-Jong (False Following)

Ga-Jong is a False Following structure where the Day Master appears to follow the dominant element but retains hidden support, creating instability between following and asserting.

What is Ga-Jong (False Following)?

Ga-Jong occurs when the chart looks like a Jong-gyeok (following structure) but the Day Master retains trace support — perhaps one rooting in Jijanggan or a single resource star. The DM is too weak to assert itself normally but too supported to fully surrender. This creates an unstable personality that oscillates between compliance and rebellion. Ga-Jong charts are the most difficult to analyze because the Yongsin switches depending on whether the person is in 'following' or 'asserting' mode. Luck cycles that strengthen the DM can temporarily flip the chart's orientation.
