What is Modern Myeongri?
Myeongri is the Korean tradition for studying destiny through Saju, the Korean Four Pillars, with its own interpretive methods. Modern Myeongri emerged in 20th-century Korea as master practitioners sought to formalize Saju analysis into systematic, measurable procedures: calculating day master strength from a weighted element balance, classifying the chart into a Gyeokguk (structural pattern), identifying the Yongsin (favorable element), and applying these findings to Daeun and Seun timing. This school contrasts with older intuition-first approaches that depended heavily on a master's personal feeling. Modern Myeongri can be computed, replicated, and verified, making it well suited to software implementation.
