Vargottama

Vargottama describes a planet occupying the same sign in both the Rashi (D1) chart and the Navamsa (D9) chart, gaining doubled strength and purity.

What is Vargottama?

Vargottama literally means 'best division' and occurs when a planet falls in the same sign in the birth chart and the Navamsa chart. This happens for the first Navamsa of cardinal signs, middle Navamsa of fixed signs, and last Navamsa of mutable signs. A Vargottama planet is considered doubly strong — its significations are reliable and its results manifest clearly. A Vargottama Lagna lord is especially powerful, granting the person strong self-identity and purpose. Even malefics become more predictable (though not necessarily benefic) when Vargottama.

How TriAstra Uses Vargottama

TriAstra detects Vargottama placements and increases the strength weight of those planets in dignity assessment and yoga evaluation.
